Some of the hardware I write about was sent to me by the manufacturer. This page lists it in one place, so the context is there without me repeating it in every post.

How I handle it

Any post about hardware a manufacturer gave me carries a labelled notice at the top, marked “Werbung / Advertisement”. That notice names the device the post is actually about. Other provided hardware that only happens to be part of the setup is listed further down this page instead of stacking up in every article, and the notice links here so you can check.

I use the German term because I’m based in Germany, where that’s the established wording, and the English one so the label still reads clearly to everyone else.

No manufacturer sees my text before it goes up, and none has ever asked to. If one suggests a correction or an addition afterwards, I check whether it holds up, and I say so in the article when I’ve changed something because of it.

What I’ve received

Listed with the year it arrived. Entries stay here permanently, because what matters is how I got a device at the time I wrote about it, not who owns it now.

IceWhale / Zima (2026) — a ZimaBoard 2 832, a 2-Bay HDD Rack Tray, and a Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI 4K adapter, sent free of charge for review. I kept them.

Olares (2026) — an Olares One, sent for review. I was allowed to keep it. It’s my main machine now, so it turns up in the background of posts that aren’t about it.

Nitrokey (2026) — a NitroPad T480, lent to me for four weeks and sent back afterwards. I kept the Nitrokey 3A that came with it, its pouch and some stickers.

DFRobot / LattePanda (2026) — a LattePanda Mu with the Lite Carrier Board. The power supply wasn’t included, so I bought one myself, and I paid around €46 in import duty on the shipment from China.

TP-Link (2026) — a LinkBox 7, a 5-port 2.5GbE switch and an RE220BE Wi-Fi 7 extender, sent for testing. Whether they’re a loan or stay here isn’t settled yet. I’ll update this line once it is.

What I pay for myself

Everything not listed above: accessories, consumables, and anything I add to a setup to make a test possible. Where something I bought myself matters to a review, I mention it in the post.

If a post reads like an advert to you, or a disclosure is missing or inaccurate, tell me. I’d rather fix it in the article than leave it standing.
